Inertia Strings was started in November 2024 in Lexington, South Carolina. Our first line of acoustic strings launched in April 2025.

I’ve wanted to start this company for a long time. I saw a gap in the market for a few different things.

The first gap I noticed was the quality-to-price ratio. If you wanted high quality strings that sounded good and lasted, they’re expensive.  I wanted to bring a high-quality product for as low of a price as possible. A lot of the strings that last a long time have noticeable effects on sound quality – the most common being a “synthetic” sound. I felt like these strings lost their natural tones because of the types of coatings.

I’m building a brand that’s authentic; one that really connects with musicians and celebrates all genres of music.

I chose the name “inertia” because I love physics and space. The space theme represents exploration and innovation, which is something we’ve been focusing heavily on. We’ve been focusing a lot on R&D and have a lot down the pipeline. Stay tuned!

Our strings are made in a state-of-the-art facility in the United States.
